Experience
I have a passion for teaching and have experience in a variety of settings and districts! My first year out of college, I worked in a prekindergarten classroom in Marietta, Georgia. I then moved into Atlanta and worked as a special education teacher. In 2015, my husband and I moved to San Antonio, Texas! For the past three years, I have taught special education in North East ISD. However, my husband was offered an amazing opportunity in Austin, so we moved here this summer. While I am sad to have left San Antonio, I am very excited for this new chapter and the upcoming school year at Barton Creek Elementary! Educational Background In 2013, I graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida with a bachelor's degree in Exceptional Education and Elementary Education and endorsements in Reading and ESOL. On a Personal Note I am originally from a small town in Georgia, but I have moved around quite a bit since graduating high school. I have only been in Austin a few months, but so far my husband and I have enjoyed exploring the city! I love to travel, and I am often doing so to visit friends and family across the county from Philadelphia to Chicago to Anna Maria Island! I also enjoy hiking with my dog, reading, running, and listening to live music. |
